Scotland need a”hero” to inspire future generations because their hopes of qualifying for Euro 2020 hang by a thread,” says striker Billy Dodds.

“Now I am not saying Steve Clarke’s [in peril ], I believe he is the correct guy to take the country forward.”
The former Scotland striker required following Clarke’s side have managed just five goals in six group games, Leigh Griffiths be recalled to the squad.
Dodds considers Scotland require a forward who will help build optimism and momentum in the next 24, build up to this Nations League playoffs.
“Leigh Griffiths will get you something from nothing as he did against England together with the two free kicks, thus we need caliber inside,” Dodds said.
“We do not have enough good players in key places and we need competition for places up front.”
Scotland have conceded 13 goals up to now in the Euro 2020 set Dodds and stages considers defence is a real cause for concern for Clarke.
He explained:”We have to get better defensively because we have leaked goals not against Belgium and Russia, we have leaked objects to Kazakhstan and to Cyprus.”
